החלה במ.פ שועפאט הריסת ביתו של המחבל פאדי ג׳מג׳ום, שביצע פיגוע ירי לפני כשלושה חודשים בצומת ראם, במהלכו רצח שני בני אדם ופצע נוספים עד שנוטרל

הבוקר נכנסו מאות שוטרי מחוז ירושלים ולוחמי מג"ב, יחד עם יחידת מתפ"א של משטרת ישראל וכוח צה"ל למ.פ שועפאט, במטרה להרוס את דירתו של המחבל פאדי ג׳מג׳ום, שביצע את פיגוע הירי הרצחני בצומת ראם בתאריך 16.2.2024.

בפיגוע הטרור, נרצחו מירי המחבל שני בני אדם ונפצעו נוספים בדרגות פציעה שונות. המחבל נוטרל תוך זמן קצר על ידי חייל במילואים.

יומיים לאחר הפיגוע, כוחות משטרה של מחוז ירושלים, יחד עם לוחמי מג״ב עוטף ירושלים וכוח צה״ל, ביצעו איטום של בית המחבל לקראת הריסתו ופינו אותו מיושביו.

בשבועות שלאחר הפיגוע, עצרו בלשי היחידה המרכזית של מחוז ירושלים את אחיו של המחבל (39, תושב מ.פ שועפאט). בתום חקירתו במשטרה הוגש נגדו כתב אישום, בין היתר, לאחר שהתברר כי העביר לאחיו את האקדח שרכש והחזיק שלא כחוק ושימש לביצוע הפיגוע.

כחלק מפעולות משלימות המבוצעות נגד מחבלים ובהתאם לתקנות ההגנה (שעת חירום), נחתם בתקופה האחרונה צו של אלוף פקע״ר להריסת בית המחבל שהתגורר עם משפחתו במ.פ שועפאט.

בתום אישור תכניות של מפקד מחוז ירושלים ניצב דורון תורג׳מן שהתקיים השבוע, ולאחר השלמת כלל ההכנות המבצעיות הנדרשות, החל הבוקר מבצע הריסת בית המחבל בפיקודו של מפקד מג״ב עוטף ירושלים תנ״צ עמי נידם.

הפעילות מבוצעת עם מגוון כוחות ואמצעים משטרתיים, זאת כחלק מפעולות משלימות שמבוצעות נגד מחבלים, במטרה לממש את הצו ולהרוס את בית משפחת המחבל שביצע את פיגוע הירי הרצחני.
